The Gospel of Jesus Christ for Salvation

The Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ is that He is the promised Messiah, the Son of the one true living God, who offers salvation by grace through faith to all who accept His redemptive work on the cross for the sins of the world.
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one You sent to earth (John 17:3).
We are all born with a tendency to sin with no way to approach or have fellowship with a perfect God. “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin” (John 8:34b). This is a hopeless situation that we cannot free ourselves from. If we don’t get help, we are condemned to an eternal existence in the lake of fire. Our only hope is salvation through a perfect, sinless substitute willing to die in our place so we can live forever in heaven.
For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws (James 2:10).
But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven! (Matthew 5:20).
But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8).
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ (II Corinthians 5:21).
Simple faith alone in Christ alone is all that you need to receive this free gift of grace. No one can earn or deserve to have a relationship with God.
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood…God declares sinners to be right in His sight when they believe in Jesus…So we are made right with God through faith (Romans 3:22-25a, 26b, 28a).
We could never redeem ourselves. Christ did all the work necessary for salvation while on the cross. It is finished; our debt is paid in full. He paid the death penalty for everyone by bearing all the sins (past, present, and future) committed by every soul ever born on this earth throughout mankind’s history. This offer is available to anyone and everyone.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten [uniquely born] Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Want more good news? Sin is NOT the issue. CHRIST is the issue. All personal sins were judged and paid for on the cross. “He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross” (I Peter 2:24a). Salvation brings you forgiveness and cleansing. The only sin that is unpardonable is rejection of Jesus Christ as Savior—the sin of unbelief. Jesus is also the ONLY one with the key that opens the gates of heaven for you.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6b).
And when He [Holy Spirit] comes, He will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in Me (John 16:8-9).
All you need to do to be saved is to simply tell God the Father, “I believe in Christ.” At that moment God gives you eternal life that can never be taken away. You are “born again.” Faith is simply believing—deciding that the message of Christ is true. Faith alone in Christ alone is salvation.
I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3b).
Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved (Acts 16:31a).
But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a [spiritual] birth that comes from God (John 1:12-13).
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me (John 10:28).
Eternal Life or Eternal Death? That is the most important question. At birth every soul is recorded in the Book of Life. At death, if you rejected Christ as Savior, your name is blotted out.
So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a terrible sin these people have committed. They have made gods of gold for themselves. But now, if you will only forgive their sin—but if not, erase my name from the record you have written!” But the Lord replied to Moses, “No, I will erase the name of everyone who has sinned against Me (Exodus 32:31-33).
Erase their names from the Book of Life; don’t let them be counted among the righteous (Psalm 69:28).
And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire…There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Revelation 20:15; 10b).
And anyone who believes in God’s Son [Jesus Christ] has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey [the command to believe] the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment (John 3:36).
I tell you the truth, those who listen to My message and believe in God who sent Me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life (John 5:24).
God is always a gentleman. He gave you free will to make your own choice. Do you believe that Christ is the Messiah, the Son of the living God? (Matthew 16:15-16). Your decision to believe or not determines your eternal destiny.
Sing to the Lord; praise His name. Each day proclaim the good news that He saves (Psalm 96:2).
